On this day but 88 years ago, Scott Fitzgerald published "The Great Gatsby". Widely acclaimed as his best work, it portrays the essence of an era, The Roaring Twenties, a time of prosperity in the USA in the wake of WWI.
Now that a new, much anticipated movie adaptation is about to be released (starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire), isn't it time to read this classic novel again?
I thought so! I read it long ago while at the university. Though I did like the book, I must admit I've forgotten much. So, after reading Paula McLain's "The Paris Wife", I made up my mind to reread it. Now it's time.
